Beetles are insects. Insects have 6 legs. Beetles have 2 big eyes on either sides of their head. Some beetles have a hard shell to protect the wings that they fly with. In Australia, there are over 2,000 different kinds of beetles.
Habitat: Beetles live almost everywhere, even in water!
Food: Beetles eat all kinds of food but most eat plants. Ground beetles eat crickets.
Predators: Birds and small mammals eat beetles.
Life Cycle: egg, larva, pupa, adult.
