Funnel Web Spiders

Any of a group of spiders that make funnel-shaped webs, which they use to trap insects. They are also known as grass spiders. There are about 700 known species of funnel web spiders. The body of a funnel web spider is, typically, long and roughly oval in shape. The legs are long, slender and bristly. A pair of spinnerets is used to make the spiders web. A funnel web spider eats insects. Some birds eat funnel web spiders. birds and wasps eat funnel web spiders.
